The CBVA Board needs your help to keep volleyball running smoothly each Sunday. We kindly request that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the cut-off time for each session. The cut-off times for each session are as follows:
Unfortunately, you may no longer sign-in other players who are running late. We appreciate your assistance in signing-in at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of play.
If you plan to leave a session early, please notify a CBVA Board Member before signing-in. Individuals who have left two or more sessions early -- without advance notification -- may be barred from future play.
All participants must wear shoes and athletic attire. All jewelry, baseball caps, etc., must be removed before playing.
Please be courteous and dispose of trash appropriately. There is a large trash container just outside the gym that is lined with a trash bag for your convenience. We appreciate your assistance with this matter.
All players in CBVA are expected to help officiate games when his or her team is scheduled to referee. Both referees (i.e., up and down referees), as well as line judges, are required to stand at all times while officiating. People should refrain from prolonged conversations with referees and line judges.
Please treat others with respect and courtesy. Please remember to adhere to all rules and display good sportsmanship. For the safety of all of our members, violent, threatening, or offensive behavior will not be tolerated and will be dealt with as follows:
CBVA Board Members are empowered to skip directly to the second step if an incident is deemed sufficiently serious. Incidents involving physical violence will be referred to the local police department.
Please contact an on-site Board Member in the event that these or other unresolved issues arise with members.
Individuals playing in Advanced or Intermediate that appear to be a danger to themselves or others on the court will be asked to play in the next level down. In addition, players not performing at the level of play may be asked to participate in clinics to improve their skills and/or asked to play in the next level down. Questions about safety on the court should be directed to the Board Members in your division.
