Outdoor Volleyball!

Outdoor volleyball began on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 4:30 PM at Joe Moakley Park in Dorchester, Massachusetts. The outdoor play schedule is as follows:

Note: Volleyball nets will not be set up during inclement weather, including rainstorms.

CBVA is looking for volunteers to help set up, take down, transport, and store volleyball equipment during the summer months. If you are interested in helping us, please contact the CBVA Information Officer at secretary@cbvolleyball.net.

In order to play outdoor volleyball, you must be a member of CBVA. If you registered during this past indoor season, you are all set - just show up for outdoor play. If you have not registered for the 2008-2009 season yet, please do so by visiting our website. Registration involves filling out and signing the online form, as well as purchasing CBVA insurance ($15). These two steps must be completed prior to showing up to outdoor play. Players will not be able to register at the park.

End of Year BBQ Party

Please join us for our first ever CBVA End of the Year BBQ Party at Joe Moakley Park in Dorchester on Sunday, June 28th at 1 PM. We will be having awards, food, drink, and outdoor volleyball play at our new location. An e-mail invitation regarding this party was sent to all league members through E-Vite. Please check your e-mail and RSVP so we can get an approximate number for the catering.

Boston Beantown Classic Tournament Update

As of June 7, 2009, there were 35 teams registered for the Boston Beantown Classic Tournament on the NAGVA website. There were 16 BB teams registered, 14 B teams registered, and 5 A/AA teams registered. The Boston Beantown Classic Tournament Committee is currently capped at 12 teams per division. Team registrations will be confirmed in the order in which payments are received. Teams are encouraged to register and pay the tournament fee as soon as possible to ensure a spot for their team. Questions regarding the tournament should be sent to Robert Martinez, Chair of the BBC Tournament Committee, at bbc@cbvolleyball.net.
